Suvreen Guggal characters

1. Suvreen Guggal

Suvreen Guggal is the Female lead of this show, played 

by Smriti Kalra. Guggal is a gorgeous but simple 19 year 

old girl from Kathgodam. Suvreen topped her 12th Board 

Exams with 89.04%. Being the topper of the year in her 

school and the only one who is named all over the town. 

But in DPSC she is one of the many, many toppers. With 

big dreams, she is the new student at DPSC. She is 

determined, thought-provoking, naive and righteous. 

Her interests are singing, thinking, solving other 

people's problems, making friends, studying, listening 

to music and many more. In the recent episodes she 

realizes that shes in love with Yuvraj, her senior who 

happens to be her close friend over the course of 

various events. She constantly thinks and dreams about 

Yuvraj. She feels jealous when Yuvraj is adored by girls.

2. Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh is the male lead of Suvreen Guggal- Topper 

of the Year, played by former model, Shivin Narang. 

Yuvraj Singh is a 21 year old Haryanvi young man full of 

desi (a traditional Indian outlook) style that very few 

girls may resist. He is a second year student at DPSC 

and the sports secretary (and the best footballer in his 

entire college). 'Bhai' is what he is called by most of his 

batchmates around DPSC, other than 'Yuvi' and his own 

nickname for himself, it being 'cheetah'. Yuvraj is known 

as the charm of the college. He is unpredictable, crude 

yet simple, rowdy yet lovable, stubborn and gutsy. On 

very rare occasions has he been spotted attending 

classes and always gets away with bunking. 

3. Amanpreet Sehgal (Annie)

Amanpreet Sehgal is a DPSC aspirant much like 

Suvreen. She is a frantic partier, and is Suvreen's first 

and best friend. She had a huge infactuation towards 

Aneesh Aiyer, a DPSC allumnus who works at their 

college as a counselor. Later, she found herself in a 

romantic relationship with Rathi, a second year student, 

but broke up because of an argument over Suvreen and 

Yuvraj's relationship. Amanpreet comes from a wealthy 

household but suffers a tragic background because of 

the separation of her parents. Her mother had left her as 

a child, and her father always had to work. She lives 

alone in her own house a few minutes from her college. 

She named their group of Suvreen, Yuvraaj, Naro, 

Mannu, Rathi and herself as Superb Six, but ofcource, 

that was before Zorro and Alisha joined. She is super 

excited all the time and wants to bring Yuvraj and 

Suvreen together, even after a dramatic fight that almost 

caused the whole group to separate into two. Annie is 

the main reason for which Suvreen has changed her 

course, and realised her true aspiration. Suvreen 

attended the workshop only to accompany Annie and 

ended up in joining the course.

4. Naro

Naro is also a DPSC aspirant much like Suvreen. She is 

from Assam and wants to study in DPSC so that she 

doesn't have to go back and work in tea plantations. She 

used to be Suvreen's roommate and close friend along 

with Annie. Naro is a diabetic which caused a surprising 

turn of events in the hunger strike she had joined to 

lower the admition bar from 100% in the DPSC entrance 

exam. She had fainted for she had a lack of nutrition and 

stirred the whole college. Suvreen, for this reason 

decided to call quits on the strike and almost left New 

Delhi without attending college. However, along with 

Naro's recovery, the principal of the college decided to 

lower the bar and flooded the aspirants with good news. 

Early on in the story, Naro had been naive and had been 

going out with a man she should have known more than 

what she did. After breaking up with him, the man 

sneaked inside the college, and persuaded unwilling but 

weak Naro into taking him back. He forced some forms 

of public display of affection on her while his friend took 

various pictures. Unsuspecting Naro was shocked to the 

bone when she saw the campus walls full of her name 

and insults. Upon seeing the images of the man and her 

all over the internet, Naro became tremendously 

humiliated. She was very close to attempting suicide, 

which caused the whole school to rebell against the man 

and his actions. After a lot of efforts, the convists were 

finally imprisoned, but Naro's memory remained with her 

till date.

5. Rathi

Rathi is one of Yuvraj's two closest friends, and is seen 

as an admirer who would do anything for Yuvraj, always 

supporting him, always having his back. Rathi also 

always gives Yuvraj (what in his opinion is the best for 

Yuvraj) advise when Yuvraj needs it. He is also known as 

one of the "Trilokpuri Ka Chichoras", which means one 

of the small ones from the town of three. Rathi finds 

himself in a complicated relationship with Amanpreet. It 

began when once, in order to save his life, Annie 

attempted CPR mouth-to-mouth with Rathi which only 

resulted in a romantic kiss which caused a spark. On 

realising that they were romantically attracted to each 

other, Rathi and Annie chose to be publically in a 

relationship. Soon enough, Suvreen and Yuvraj had an 

awful misunderstanding between each other which 

caused some commotion in the group. Being one of the 

two's best friends, Annie and Rathi found themselves 

diagreeing with each other and finally breaking up. 

Much time later, Rathi and Annie were back to being 

friends, along with the whole group.

6.Mannu

Mannu is one of Yuvraj's two best friends, and is seen 

as an admirer of Yuvraj, doing possibly anything for him 

and always having his back. This is because on their 

first day of college, Yuvraj had saved Mannu and Rathi 

from being ragged by Gyanesh. Mannu had been seen 

developing romantic feelings for Suvreen's beft friend, 

Naro, but had mysteriously disappeared mid-show. 

Many weeks later, he had returned with a whole new and 

developed knowledge in the English language and 

devine skills in playing the guitar. Merely impressed with 

his "improvement", his friends alloted the name 

"Guitari" to him. Naro too, upset with him for 

disappearing so randomly wasn't very impressed. But he 

was soon enough forgiven and most things were back to 

normal eventually, but the name "Guitari" remained.

7. Zorro

Zorro, short for Zorrovar Sangha, is the son of a famous 

cricketer, but little do his new best friends- Suvreen, 

Annie etc.- know, as his father disowned him due to 

Zorro's homosexuality. Finding a new and a more 

accepting family in his new friends at DPSC, Zorro finds 

a way of recovering from the cruelties of his past. He 

studies fashion in the fashion course along with 

Suvreen, Annie and Alisha under Rehan Charles. In 

order to find a source of finance to pay for his course, 

Zorro works as a comedian at [V] Spot Cafe along with 

Suvreen. Zorro happens to be a smart, witty young man 

with an unfortunate and tragic background. But he has a 

special skill where he is able to see right through his 

friends and is therefore able to give the most expertese 

advise, especially in the case of the complicated 

relationship with Suvreen and Yuvraj.

8. Alisha Diwan

she is also a student in the fashion course. she knows 

she looks good and enjoys her power. she is very rich 

and hates being recognised by her mother's name. she 

is very ambitious. she calls herself a WINNER and thinks 

she is the best. suvreen calls her "miss I am the best". 

She met Yuvraj at the college campus and is very 

impressed by him as they both like cars and they both 

have named their cars Laila and Princess 

respectively.she has started liking yuvraaj a lot.As Yuvraj 

and Suvreen are dating each other now she holds 

grudge against Suvreen.She is trying to separate Yuvraj 

and Suvreen as she thinks that Yuvraj can love no one 

else except her.

Topper of the Year, is an inspiring, rousing coming of 

age tale of an entire generation of youngsters studying 

at DPSC (Dhirendra Pratap Singh College), a prestigious 

college in Delhi. It's a humorous and riveting campus 

drama that states that there's more to this Facebook 

generation than iPod and low-waist jeans.

Buddy Project characters

1. Keshav Desai (K.D.)

 The Bad Boy. He has own set of morals and his own

way of going about getting what he wants.

2. Kiya Gujral  

 The Diva. She hates living in the shadow of her famous  

elder sister.To seek everybody's attention , she has 

bocome something of tantrum queen

3.  Ranveer shergill (RV/Nonu)

 The ladies love him. And why wouldn't they. He’s the 

musician with his charming ways around the school. He 

does not like to get involved or commit to anything 

meaningful leading to him leave behind a lot of broken 

hearts.

4. Panchi Rastogi (Moti)

 Sweet, bubbly and full of life. She is comfortable with 

being plump & likes to eat. Panchi is everybody's best 

friend and quick to smile and laugh.

5. Pratham Punj (Piddhi) 

 The Wacko! He’s always out there trying to top off his 

last big adventure or to match the legendary pranks of 

his hero, Junglee Jaitley.

6. Babita mallik (Bobby)

 Tomboy, short-tempered and quite a fighter. She wants 

to be in the football team and whack the boys. She plays 

way rough than any of the boys. She dances like a boy. 

Jaitley helps her find her feminine side.

7. Samar Pratap Singh (Nawab Sahab)

Say hello to Nawab Saab. He carries himself with royal 

arrogance. He is suave, sophisticated and elegant. But 

he has a dark secret which he is looking to hide from 

everyone at Royal Academy.

8.  Juhi Gupta 

 Pretty as a princess. She believes that she deserves the 

life of a princess. But her middle class parents can't give 

her that. She wants to be noticed by the media so she 

can become an actress/model. She's so caught up with 

her looks that she has never looked at whether she has 

any other abilities or not. Jaitley discovers that she's a 

genius and brilliant in academics.

The series is based in the fictional, Royal Academy, a  

once prestigious school which is looking to regain its 

lost glory. The students are bright but reckless without a 

force to guide them. Principal Ramanujam has seen its 

ups and downs and decides on a plan to bring back the 

best of the old alumni to guide the new.

BFF Varun & Prithvi

Varun Mittal

Varun was a close friend of the bff's . when sanju

rejected his love, he committed suicide. but it was found 

that he was alive. He loves sanju and hates Prithvi. His 

sister is prof. anu.

Prithvi Sanyal

Prithvi is the new student in the college. He is quite 

mysterious. He is very good looking and handsome and Ela 

seems to secretly like him. Prithvi has been fighting with 

Sanjana since his first day at school. He calls Sanju - BFA 

which means a Baby Faced Assassin. They both are 

partners in the 'Mock Trials', for which Prithvi and Sanjana 

have to work together. BFFs find out that Prithvi's theory on 

Varun's case is exact and have to deal with him cleverly.

1. Swayam shekhawat 

 

The Lover Boy Swayam shekhawat . He is a cute innocent weakling who loves Sharon a lot (who is a dazzler and hates weaklings). Swayam is very loyal and one of a kind who doesn't like to show off even he has a rich owner just like dazzlers. He tried a lot to make Sharon fall for him but Sharon didn't like him because he was an weakling. In this things Swayam also became very good friend of Reyaansh. Reyaansh even helped Swayam for making Sharon get affected by him. Rey and Swayam became best friends after kriya's exit.

2. Neha Kapoor

  Neha was the first friend of Kriya when she joined the St. She has won the national freestyle girls dance award in the dance camp , Louis college. She is very bad in English but tries to overcome it. Neha was always called 'Miss verbal diarrhea' or 'Reverse English'. When Kriya found out her hidden talent of dancing she asked Neha for joining her team and Neha joined the Weaklings.  Neha is a very filmy girl. She flirts with a guy named Ali in front of Vicky to make Vicky jealous. She danced with Vicky in Bollywood night She proposes Vicky in a restaurant and they get together. She and Vicky were the lead dancers in the Bollywood night of the dance fest.She is the first one to accept Taani in the team. Now she thinks that Vicky is interested in Ashi but he is not.

5. Amar Kalra

  Amar is known as a 'Totla' in the college. However, he does not stammer when he is drunk. He also works as a waiter in the college canteen. He has feelings for Rini of the dazzlers team. He is good in TUTTING.

6. Bharat

He is a hot-headed guy and ready to pick up a fight anytime. He works as a part-time mechanic and is crazy about cars. Initially he was not interested in joining Kria's team but after persuasion finally gave in. He shares a close friendship with Swayam and often repairs his cycle for free. Due to his limited vocabulary in English, he finds every English word to be a Gaali [a slang or an abusive word]. He also has a soft corner for Vishakha. Before the dazzlings and the weaklings became friends, Sharon often insulted and hurt him due to his poor background. He is the only person in college whose day is celebrated 'THE BHARAT DAY'.
